Responsibilities & Commitments

In our busy time schedule, do we neglect to do the things that meant a lot to us? Like our responsibilities and commitment to one another as family,as friends and as members of Chirst? To our love ones, company and society?

All in all we have tones and tones of responsibilities and comitments.. All these responsibilities defines who we are, what we live for, who we doing it for, according to a speaker who came to share in our church one of our sundays... And I do think its true that if we do not have responsibilities or commitments, then what are we doing most of the time would be, not important enought to make any commitments or take any responsibilities.. not important enought to hang on to it, to stay with it, to grow in it.

Some of us do not want any (none, zero!) responsibilities. Its such a scary word!!! What if we are responsible for the failure? what if we are cannot make the right choice? What if we change our mind? How do we get out of it later? There is no turning back on responsinilities and commitments!!! aaaaAAAHhhhhHHHhh !!!!! HELP!!!!!

If we say we are busy doing this busy doing that.. but never once commit or be responsible for it.. then we can just leave it and let is be.. which means its not important to you.. which means you can change your mind and go and do other things you feel like doing.. and leave when ever you feel like it.. without feeling guilty or responsible..

Without being responsible or commited, can we achieve anything in live?

People who have done great things and have achived much, define their lives on those responsibilities and commitment they have made.. sometimes sustaining them through all the thick and thin of life itself. Jesus, Mother Terresa, Gandhi, Martin Luther King etc.. have took up much responsibilities in their lives to achieve what they have achieved..

When they took up the responsibility, the calling, the purpose of their being, they focus on it, build on it, stay with it and love it. With God our Father's grace, help & care, they are living it and living it to the fullest!!! So question is...

What responsibilities are you taking up now that defines who you are? If you don't have any, may be you should search inside yourself and find out.. better still ask the one who have created you-God.

Responsibilities and Commitments defines who you are; Convictions and Faith defines what you are made of.. until the next chapter :) Tata..
