During delivery......
At about 7 pm i was feeling the real pain of contractions + dilation but i was not ready for delivery yet. It was very difficult to breath and the pain is sometimes unbearable but you know what? As we (Nigel n I) need to wait for another 4 hours for my doctor to come back to check on me, I see visions of Jesus being with us in the delivery room all those 4-5 hours as i was in much pain.. I was taking "the laughing gas" to ease the pain even though it does not look like it helped but it did helped me to relax and regain my energy for the next contraction and the vision comforted me as i knew i was not alone and I can do this.
Many have prayed for me and have encourage me by telling me that God is with us.. and it holds true to us.. God was there and is still here with us right now.. As time past and it was about 9pm, the first midwife have to go back and a staff nurse came in to help and she ask if i needed epidural, a stronger pain killer, as I was in so much pain. I was still thinking wan or not but Nigel was the one asking for it coz i think he was worried for me also.. I love it when he put me first above everything else... I was very glad to have him there with me and i told him that during the time at one point.. (Thank God i was not in a bad mood...)
BUT, we can;t get the doctor until almost one hour for my doctor to come in for the delivery only she was able to make it, she meaning the doctor who would inject the epidural for me. I was about to say no because i have already gone through almost the whole delivery without it.. so i was thinking.. might as well dun take lar... but Nigel convince me to take it as he fear i cannot contain the pain and starts to move too much which may injure my back bone.. so... in the end i said ok..
Even when the doctor came and put the epidural into my back bone i was still in pain but a while later my doctor came and suggested that i try to push to get the baby out.. "let's give 3 test push." he said... i said ok.. then i started to push!!!!
As i was pushing, the nurses cannot find my baby's heart beat!!! i was so so worried!!! in that spilt seconds i prayed and said this will be my last push as i want to see ny baby out safe and sound... so on the fifth contraction.. i think... i push a few times i was so determined and so worried at the same time that i pushed my baby out!!! Of course with a lot of help from my good doctor Prof. Paul from HUKM. He is really experienced as according to Nigel he was very fast and was very precise. He helped the baby out by vacuuming it out and of course 'cut' a bit more for room..
Then i think baby cried but i couldn't really hear it as i was really tired.. then they put baby on top of me as they were sucking some liquid from baby... i was trying to notice signs of life as i wanted to know if my baby was ok... when he started to move.. i was relieved..
